What I Did This Weekend

I had my weekend all planned.  Friday night would be relaxing while we watched the Texas Rangers beat up on the Evil Empire New York Yankees.  Saturday morning we would sleep in, and then head to the grocery store to snag a few things.  Then my parents would come over and we would watch the Rangers beat up on the Yankees again before heading to dinner.  Sunday would be typically crazy but fun. 

My weekend did not go as planned. 

For starters, the Rangers blew a sizable lead Friday night and got beat.  It was fairly traumatic.  But that's not the point of this post. 

This is the point of this post:






Right around the time my parents should have been heading to our house they got the phone call that changed our weekend plans:  my sister-in-law was in labor.  My niece, Ava Elyse, was born at 1:18am Sunday morning.  Instead of a relaxing night with baseball and seafood I had a hectic night chasing my two-year-old nephew around a hospital waiting room. 

Nope, my weekend did not go as planned. 

But I'm perfectly okay with that.

    I was thinking she looks like a Jordan, but that last one looks alot like Velvet. What do you think?

    I think she has the Jordan nose (like me and Thomas and Dad). Mom and Grandma both think she looks like me. I think she's going to change a million times over the next few months, though, so who knows. Jake is perfect blend, so she probably will be too.
